Recently I read an article on GREAT Women Leaders, some of the key words Discipline and Consistency used in the article can apply to our life daily!

When Betsy King was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame, she contributed something for diplay that reflects her heart and her commitment to grow spiritually. It was the study Bible given to her by Captain Bill Lewis. She had carried and studied from it for almost as long as she was on the Tour. She marked meaninfgul passages and made notes to herself in it as she learned the Word. It is a record of her spiritual growth and a reminder of the importance of DISCIPLINING ourselves to study God's Word regularly. It is an expression of how Betsy has sought to reflect God's glory to others.

We can learn from Betsy's example as a positive role model. She has influenced many young people at Fellowship of Christian Athlete golf camps and other events. Many adults see her as a model of CONSISTENCY in her walk with Christ. Betsy's commitment is also seen in her involvement in organizations like Habitat for Humanity. She, along with other golf professionals, contributes a labor of love in the building of houses throughout the world. She creates homes for those who, otherwise, would not have a place of their own.

She chose to display the dove symbol on her bag not only as a product endorsement for Dove soap but also as a sign of the peace of Christ that rules in her heart. Betsy's Bible in the LPGA Hall of Fame reminds others to study God's Word.
