How do you define Beauty?

  • Rating: No Rating
We have been running a 6 week series on Empowering You Radio; An Empowered Journey on The False Perfect; the lies women are told. We are really trying to help women understand that true beauty is not the things on the outside however the things inside. So many women fall into the trap of believing they are not beautiful and amazing as they are, unless they look like the airbrushed models.

How do you define true beauty? What do you identify beauty with (the media, friends, family, the Bible)? I invite you to share your thoughts...

Enjoyed your post. I know that beauty comes from within. I know this sounds like a cliché, but it’s true. God gives us peace, a peace that provides contentment in us as we are. As you said, most women do not have that airbrushed perfection on the outside, but we should strive to be the best we can be, inside and out, and learn to accept ourselves as we are. As Christians, we represent the family of God and should act and look like a child of the King. God will still work through us, regardless of whether we are a size 2 or a size 18. He loves us for us, because we are his children. His love is unconditional. We have to learn to love and support ourselves so we can do the work God has planned for us. When we are at peace with God and his will for our lives, we are better equipped to deal with the world’s influence. It’s a shame so many women and girls look for acceptance from the world instead of God.
