About Me:
My name is Kara Norman and I am a mother of two girls, ages 11 and 5. I've been married for 11 years to my wonderful husband. We live in the Atlanta area. I have longed to live a more fulfilling life in which I was able to work with women and girls. God recently blessed me with the opportunity to be the leader/moderator of the newest edition to this awesome community, EMGirls an empowerment group teen girls 13-18. I am honored and share in Staci Wallace's (the founder of EMWomen) vision to make EMGirls the most empowering community for teen girls all over the world. Being a part of this community is helping to make my dreams a reality.

I partnered with a friend of mine and we have successfully launched an empowerment group for girls ages 9-12 in the Atlanta area called Jewels. Jewels is a subsidiary of G.E.M.S - Girls Empowered By Morals and Standards a charitable organization for teenage girls between the age of 13 and 17. After the launch and success of G.E.M.S in Spring 2007, Adriane and I came together to create an empowerment group for pre-teen girls ages 9-12.

Today's Perception of Beauty ~ Let's Change It!

Magazine Ad from Ralph Lauren

Hello EmGirls!

Take a good look at this photo from a Ralph Lauren ad. What do you think about the model in this ad? I was shocked and horrified that such a leading fashion designer would think that this ad is appealing to a woman/girl and would make her want to go out and buy this outfit! Is this… Continue

Hi EMGirls!

Thank you, Kara! Like fine silver, we must go through the fire before we become the finished product God has destined us to be. I stand in awe at what He has done in my life! Hugs back to you!

Hi Kara! It means so much that you were thinking of me. God is good. I have been a bit ill but and very busy, to even take care of myself, but I am slowing down to begin to re-prioritize. This will please God, my family, and me:)
