About Me:

Let's see, what can I tell you about me? Obviously, you've figured out that my name is Pam Parish. I'm in my 30s (don't wanna update that number every year) and live in Lawrenceville, GA with my husband, Steve, and three beautiful daughters, Kelsey, Kristan & Heather.

My Job

I'm the Director of Marketing & Creative Design for Victory World Church in Norcross, GA. I love my job and have the privilege of working with some of the most amazing people I know. I am honored to be able share the love of Jesus with people everyday through a wide variety of communication methods - web, video, print, and much more. I learn so much from the people that I meet everyday and the teachings that I have the opportunity to sit under. I think everyone should have a job that they absolutely love getting up for everyday. I sure am thankful to God for leading me here.

I am also a Founder of Permission to Parent, a faith-based effort devoted to bringing courage and a renewed hope to parents, giving them back the permission to parent their children without fear. Through Permission to Parent, parents are provided with opportunities to celebrate their success, share their challenges and learn from one another in small to medium sized gatherings that are both educational and comforting. From within these gatherings of friends, parents are free to be themselves and find courage and hope in the understanding that they are not alone.

What's Most Important to Me?

Wow. I love this question. There are so many things that are important to me, but I'll focus on only a few.

My relationship with Jesus. I know it's "expected" that we say that God is #1 in our lives, but really - I can't honestly say that I know where'd I'd be without Him. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that without having had Jesus in my life, I would most certainly not be the person that I am today. I have gone through many difficult times and many happy times and I know that He has been there for me through it all. I trust 100% in His guidance and love in my life.

Unquestionably, my husband, Steve, is the most important thing in my life, aside from Jesus. We have been married for nearly 17 years, since we were both 19, and I wouldn't trade it for anything on earth. Steve is my best friend and I am still completely and totally in love with him. I love to talk to him about everything, just spend time with him and to hear him laugh - it's great when he laughs. He is truly the most honorable, loving and caring man I know. I'm so happy that he's my husband. Thank you, Jesus, for blessing me with him. I love you, honey!

My amazing, beautiful and wonderful daughters! I am so blessed to be a mother to these three young ladies. I'm 100% convinced that parenting is one of the most challenging and rewarding opportunities on this planet. As I've raised my daughters, I've spent countless hours praying for them, asking for God's guidance for them, chatting with them in one of our "girl talks" and spending time with them in numerous good & not-so-good times and every-single-solitary-second has been wondrous. Kelsey, Kristan & Heather, I'm proud to be your mother and I'm so excited to watch you as you're growing into Christ-like young women who are devoted to God's purposes in your lives. I couldn't love you more!
What Inspires Me?

I'm inspired by a lot of things...life itself is inspirational...but, here are a few specifically...
  • The beauty of nature. I love that God created everything with such care, creativity and love...down the smallest, smallest thing. This inspires me because I know that the same spirit resides within me! I love to think that I'm intimately connected to this wonderful, imaginative, brilliant creator - as a matter of fact, I'm His daughter!!! Wow.
  • The innocence of children. Isn't it great to watch children as they discover the world? They're so trusting, innocent and in awe of everything. I long for childlike awe sometimes...it really inspires me.
  • My family and friends. To me, there's nothing more important in life than the people that God puts in your path. I'm extremely blessed to have hundreds of really great friends and family who love me and are there for me if I ever need anything. I find great strength in my relationships and I really enjoy people.
And there are many more, I'm sure as you read my blog you'll discover many of my inspirations, dreams, and triumphs.

One of the things that I've learned in life is that the lessons that I've learned the hard way are the ones that I've truly learned. Over and over, I've found it to be true that when I've made a wrong choice, it ultimately causes me pain. This is the ke… Continue

Pam, I love your 7 or 70 blog. I am going to feature your group this week, but would also like you to post that blog on the front page so everyone can read it. It is a great message. Right now, the only way others can read it is if they go to your group. Thanks, chicka! You are beautiful!
