I am starting to get myself ready for the Boomers to really hit the mix sixties...lol......................because I find that is where I have become really achy and things hitting me that mean (OH dear11- old age? ) is on the way. I love how the babyboomers think of positivity over everything and sort of follow them all from in front, being sixty seven. I keep falling down, which doesnt help. My mind is young but oh my body, I know eighty year olds that are fitter!

Am in a transition phase after giving up my business - am looking after my mother - it is a little difficult to turn my life around to be positive (well, I AM positive) because my life is so limited in many ways because hers is. Looking for inspiration - the boomers will help in a year or so..lol

H Cathrynn -- I love your candid and honest attitude. This summer, our air conditioner has gone out three times! Our house is only 6 years old....but the continued use (wear & tear) of the air conditioner has shown us what "age" can do. Like "things" that start to show signs of "maturing" by needing a little part to repair it, or more freon added, or a reconfiguration, there is no question that as these bodies of ours get more and more "mature" (I like that....instead of getting "old"), there are aches, ouches, bruises & bumps that seem to appear overnight!!! And, like you, I know what toll it took on my body and soul, when I was my Mom's primary caregiver -- having to make life-changing decisions for her, etc. I found my inner peace, joy, strength, and healing came from my intimate relationship with God. When I didn't have a bit of energy left, I would go to Him, and He would give me the grace and mercy to make it another day! He'll do the same for you if you'll just let Him. And, you seem to have a wonderful sense of humor -- that's another key in getting additional strength -- there's a Bible scripture that says "The joy of the Lord is your strength!" And another says "A merry heart does good like a medicine!". So keep that joyful, merry heart going! I love watching old "Andy Griffith" shows or "I Love Lucy" (I see you and I are in the same age bracket) and they are always good for stirring up the joy!! And regarding our physical bodies, I have determined to eat the foods that energize and strengthen me, take the vitamins and supplements that help as well, and exercise (even if it's just parking further away from the store just to get more walking in) as much as possible. I like to call it a "kick butt" attitude!!! I'm determined that one of these days....when it's my time to check out of this life.....I will have died "living", not lived "dying"!! So, Cathrynn -- Girl Friend, let's "kick butt" together and let those "Boomer" have role models that show them how to do it when they catch up to us! Much love and blessings to you....and your mom!
